Having A ‘Good Vibe’ or ‘Bad Vibe’

In spirituality, our “vibration” refers to our energetic state.  Our thoughts, our physical and mental health, our emotions, and our thoughts all collectively contribute to the vibrational state of our energy field.  Ever think of the phrase, she had a ‘good vibe’ or that house had a ‘bad vibe’? When you feel “vibes” coming from a person, a place, a situation, or even an idea or thought, you are tapping in to the energy field of that person, place, situation, and thought etc.
Our vibrational state is something we can influence. Our vibration shifts occur within the self especially when we dig deeper within ourselves and reach higher levels of consciousness as a result. We go deeper emotionally and higher vibrationally.
This happens because emotions are energy, and some emotions/energy emit a lower vibration. In the spiritual dimension, negative energy is lower vibration because it is denser and heavier. Positive energy is higher vibration because it is finer and lighter. This is why it is important to allow your feelings to flow because leaving dense, suppressed emotions can leave you feeling heavy and dense too. Then that energy is felt by all those around you whether they are conscious of it or not.
“Feelings come and go like clouds in a windy sky. Conscious breathing is my anchor.” -Thich Nhat Hanh
Fear is a heavy vibration and a low frequency; however, it is important to feel that fear, to become aware of it, and allow it to shift so that the emotion/energy/vibration does not stay stuck. Rather than ignoring the fear and pretending that you are calm because the mind cannot trick your energy field. Anger and rage are also low vibration energies as underlying them is fear. But once again, many people say just to ‘stay calm and centered,’ but this doesn’t sustain a high vibration. If you are feeling angry, express it in a kindway-‘stop being nice’, then look within and know that the anger comes from you. No one around you can ‘make’ you angry, they are only mirroring something that is within you. When this is realized, the anger is expressed, flows, and then you are able to arrive at that vibration of peace for ‘real.’ Ever release a lot of tears and then feel so much better? It’s just like that.
Doing things our of obligation and having a lack of self-worth also carries a low vibration. When you agree to go somewhere because you think you ‘have’ to, the energy that you bring with you is actually more detrimental to you and those around you than if you had just honored yourself and stayed home. Guilt and/or obligation are not good reasons for doing things. When the decision is genuine then you radiate a high frequency. The lack of self-worth comes from the mind as well. This negative talk is heavy like fear, it’s the fear of not being accepted or loved. However, faking the confidence can emit a similar energy because that comes from fear as well. What we must do is start to truly understand and realize that you area master of light, that the whole universe is within you, and that you are a perfect and whole being simply because you exist.
Dis-ease in the body, illness, is a heavy vibration, a block of vital life-force. Healing can take place when the negativity, or dark corners of the ego, are faced. This allows for the energy to flow and come back to the light. Opening up space, by facing and then ridding negativity, gives way to be filled by high frequency energy. When there is space inside, the universe will fill it.
“It is important to note that in spite of how it feels when you inhale, you do not actually pull air into the body. On the contrary, air is pushed into the body by atmospheric pressure (14.7 pounds per square inch, or 1.03 kg/cm squared) that always surrounds you. This means that the actual force that gets air into the lungs, is outside the body. The energy expended in breathing produces a shape change that lowers the pressure in the chest cavity and permits the air to be pushed into the body by the weight of the planet’s atmosphere. In other words, you create the space, and the universe fills it.” – Yoga Anatomy by Leslie Kaminoff and Amy Matthews.
Look inside, express your feelings, and feel the depth of your fear, anger etc., this is when you will reach a sense of peace like never before. Keep feeling and shifting, keep breathing and healing, the energy and vibrations will take care of itself. The universe/your higher self, has got your back.
